De Sousa Stables is a privately owned hunter/jumper farm based out of Lexington Kentucky. Established in 2016, the De Sousa family's main goal is to re-train off the track thoroughbreds and give them a chance to start and excel in a new career.
Isabela De Sousa, the main rider and competitor for De Sousa stables, competes in the hunters, jumpers, and the equitation divisions. Also, she competes in the Retired Racehorse Projects Thoroughbred Makeover and has won it three years in a row. She currently trains under Andrea Simpson, and Daniel Bluman.
Sergio De Sousa, Isabela's father, is one of the owners of De Sousa Stables and is a partner and manager of Hidden Brook Farm in Paris, Kentucky.
Dr. Karen Wolfsdorf, co owner of De Sousa Stables, specializes in equine reproduction at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. She is one of the veterinarian for De Sousa Stables.
